Organizing our first peace race in
Amsterdam

WELCOME TO THIS INITIATIVE

Running for peace it's not just a sporting event; it's a human movement for peace. Our initiative consists of three days in which we seek to unite people who desire peace in our world. We designed this initiative with that purpose in mind.

 

ACTIVITIES OF THE INITIATIVE

 

Day 1: December 5 (Friday) - "Night of Peace" in Vondelpark

• Time: 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM

• Activities:

o T-shirt and race number collection for registered participants.

o Opening talk: Short speech on the purpose of the initiative and a message of global peace.

o Volunteer training: Explanation of roles (refreshments, security, entertainment).

o Live music: 2-3 local bands (acoustic or multicultural).

o Food/drink stands (collaboration with local food trucks).

 

Day 2: December 6 (Saturday) - "Race for Peace"

• Time:

o 8:00 AM: Registration for the last registered participants.

o 9:00 AM: Race start (10K and family 1K).

o ~11:00 AM: Estimated arrival at Central Station.

• Route: Vondelpark → Overtoom → Frederiksplein → Rokin → Dam Square → Prins Hendrikkade → Central Station.

Runners will wear the official event t-shirt (included with registration).

Volunteers will carry peace flags at aid stations, critical crossings, and the finish line.

Day 3: December 7 (Sunday) - "Closing Ceremony" in Vondelpark

• Time: 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM.

• Activities:

o Presentation of symbolic medals.

o Reading of a peace manifesto with participants.

o Release of biodegradable balloons with messages of peace (included with registration).

o Closing acoustic concert.

o Donation stand for upcoming "PEACE FOR HUMANS" initiatives

We need you

 Volunteers: 30 people (identifiable with reflective vests).
Distribution:
 10 volunteers at refreshment stations and critical points along the route.
 5 volunteers at the start/finish to manage crowds.
 5 volunteers at the Vondelpark event (days 1 and 3).
10 mobile support volunteers (on bicycles).
